Practice
Our Managed IT Services provide day-to-day monitoring, patching, backup verification, capacity planning, incident response, and change management for reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.
Operations is a rhythm, not a reaction.
Continuous automated monitoring, engineer on call. Staffed 24x7 available separately.
Takeover is a normal engagement, not an exception.
What happened, what changed, what is trending, what we recommend.
Bringing it back in-house is a handover, not a negotiation.
What is covered
| Area | What we do | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Monitoring & alerting | Instrumented and tuned to your estate, with escalation paths agreed before they are needed rather than during an incident. | You hear it from us, not from users |
| Patching & upgrades | On a schedule, rehearsed, executed in your change windows. Including the platform itself, not only the guests. | You never fall five versions behind again |
| Backup & recovery | Designed, operated, and — the part usually missing — restores actually tested rather than assumed. | A recovery time you have measured |
| Capacity management | Tracked against real growth, with procurement warnings while there is still time to procure. | No emergency hardware purchases |
| Incident response | Triage, stabilise, diagnose, fix, and a written record of what happened. | Incidents end with a cause, not a shrug |
| Change control | Changes proposed, reviewed and recorded, so the estate in six months is still explicable. | Configuration drift stops accumulating |
| End-user support | Scoped as a component of a managed estate rather than sold as a standalone help desk. | One route in for everything |
Estates we did not build
No migration, no rebuild. Your platform stays exactly where it is — we take over running it, with a parallel run first and a handover on a date you set.
Read-only access and a full inventory. In most takeovers this is the first accurate picture anyone has had of the estate.
What is missing, misconfigured or unsupported — stated plainly before we take responsibility, so neither side inherits a surprise.
We operate alongside the incumbent until you are satisfied. No gap in cover during the change.
On your date, with monitoring, access, documentation and escalation in place first.
Sometimes the previous provider did fine work under constraints nobody mentioned. The gap report describes the estate, not their competence.
Discovery is designed to work without the incumbent’s help. We plan for it rather than being surprised by it.
If an estate is in poor shape, that conversation happens during the gap report — not in month three when something breaks.
Your platform stays exactly where it is.Only the phone number changes.
What our cover means
Most organisations asking for 24x7 want to be told when something breaks at 3am. That is what the default gives you.
Continuous automated monitoring on Zabbix, Grafana and Wazuh, with an engineer reached when something fires. Round the clock, and it is what most estates genuinely need.
A console with people watching it, scoped and priced per engagement, for organisations that genuinely require eyes on glass.
Sell you the first and describe it as the second. If you need staffed cover we will price staffed cover.
Backup and DR delivery is here. Independently validating that your recovery works is assurance work — see DR & backup validation.
Whether you are outsourcing for the first time, replacing an incumbent, or covering out-of-hours only — we will scope it to that.
An engineer replies within two business days.
Wherever it runs
Managed operations is not tied to a platform. We run workloads on AWS, Oracle Cloud and Azure, on hyperconverged hardware, and on Apache CloudStack — including estates we did not build and platforms we would not have chosen.
| Platform | What we do with it | |
|---|---|---|
| Apache CloudStack | Our specialism. Deployment, upgrade, migration and full operations, with a published audit method. | Twelve services |
| AWS · Oracle Cloud · Azure | Design, migration and day-to-day operations. We run AWS and Oracle for ourselves as well as for clients. | Design and operate |
| Hyperconverged hardware | Deployed as an accredited partner where the requirement calls for it rather than for open source. | Deploy and operate |
| Your own room | Where the question is the building rather than the platform. | Data centre design |
If a workload is in the wrong place we will say so, and we will say so before quoting to operate it there.
